Sarah Lag is an associate at Black & Associates and practices in both official languages. Sarah graduated magna cum laude from the dual Juris Doctor and Master’s in Business Administration program at the University of Ottawa in 2018.
Sarah Lag is involved in the broader community. She sits on the Governance Committee of Cornerstone Housing for Women. During law school, Sarah represented low income clients at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic where she was a Division Leader for the Community and Legal Education Outreach Division. Sarah has also worked as a research assistant in the field of torts and as a tutor for a contract law course. She also represented the University of Ottawa at the Charles Rousseau International Law Moot Court Competition held in Bénin (Africa) in May 2017. Prior to her studies in law, Sarah obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Concordia University.
Prior to joining Black & Associates, Sarah practiced at a small Ottawa firm where she gained experience representing individual and corporate clients counsel on a variety of complex litigation files in municipal law, defamation, corporate commercial litigation and employment law.
In addition to diligently representing her clients both in and outside of court, Sarah splits her time between Krav Maga practices, traveling and enjoying family time. Sarah is a member of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario and the County of Carleton Law Association.
