Emily strives to further our clients’ interests by obtaining effective and efficient solutions to their legal problems. She has developed a keen interest in civil litigation, supporting clients throughout the litigation process. Since joining the firm, Emily practices in various legal disputes in the areas of employment law, corporate commercial litigation, property and defamation law. She enjoys assisting clients navigate their legal challenges, providing them with detailed legal advice at every step of the process.
Emily’s passion for oral advocacy began when she won the Ontario Bar Association and the Ontario Justice Education Network’s Competitive Mock Trials in 2014. She has continued to develop her advocacy skills through her work with the Advocacy Club.
Originally from Brantford, Ontario, Emily has happily settled in the city of Ottawa. Emily attended the University of Ottawa for her Honours Bachelor and Juris Doctor degrees. While completing her Bachelors, Emily worked at various federal departments where she developed drafting and legal research skills. While at law school, Emily was a Teaching Assistant in Torts Law and presented weekly tutorials to over 60 students.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys travelling and watching cooking shows while attempting to replicate the techniques she sees on screen.
